How the Process Works — From Consultation to Build

Here’s how a project goes from your first call with Pro Work to the moment we hand you the keys to your finished space.

Step 1

Discovery Call

Before we ever visit your property, we start with a brief phone call to learn about you and your project. We’ll ask about what you’re looking to build, your goals, your general timeline, and your budget range — so we can come to the on-site consultation fully prepared and make the best use of your time. Most discovery calls take 15 to 20 minutes.

Step 2

We Come to You

For most residential and commercial projects, we conduct the initial consultation on-site at your property. Seeing the space firsthand allows us to give you the most accurate guidance and identify any factors that could affect scope, timeline, or budget before we ever present a number.

Step 3

Honest Assessment & Discussion

We walk through your project together — listening to what you want to achieve, asking the questions most contractors skip, and giving you an honest read on what your investment would realistically look like. If we’re not the right fit for your project, we’ll tell you that too.

Step 4

Design & Planning Proposal

If your project is a fit for Pro Work, we’ll follow up with a detailed design and planning proposal — outlining scope, approach, timeline, and investment. This proposal gives you everything you need to make a fully informed decision before committing to anything.

Step 5

Design Phase Begins

Once you’re ready to move forward, our design team gets to work — developing your space in detail, presenting material options, and building 3D walkthroughs so you can see your finished project before construction begins.

Step 6

Build Phase — With Total Accountability

Your dedicated project manager oversees every phase of construction — from permitting and procurement through daily site management and quality control. You’ll have clear communication throughout and never wonder where your project stands.

Step 7

Final Walkthrough & Delivery

When construction is complete, we walk through every detail of the finished space together — inspecting every surface, every fixture, and every finish. We don’t consider the project done until it’s done right.

What to Bring — Or Just Show Up

You don’t need to have everything figured out before your consultation — that’s what we’re here for. But if you want to make the most of our time together, here are a few things that can help:

• Any inspiration photos or ideas you've been collecting — Pinterest boards, magazine clippings, screenshots — anything that helps us understand your vision
• A general sense of your budget range — even a rough number helps us give you the most useful guidance
• A list of the things that bother you most about your current space — the frustrations drive the best design solutions
• Any prior quotes, plans, or permits you have from previous contractors or consultations
• Questions — bring as many as you have. There are no wrong ones.

No preparation required. If you come with nothing but a vision, we’ll work from there. Our job is to ask the right questions — yours is just to show up.
